THE CHILDREN & YOUTH CURRENTLY WAITING FOR FAMILIES ON OUR CWCY WEBSITE ARE OLDER CHILDREN & YOUTH (BETWEEN 10 – 18+ YEARS OF AGE) & CHILDREN LIVING WITH VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE (DIS)ABILITIES.

LEVELS OF ACCESS
There are three levels of access; public, private, and professional. To become a member of the CWCY program, you must be a Canadian Citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident and be 18 yrs and older.
Public Access

No sign-up or fee required

The publicly accessible profiles of waiting children or youth contain no identifying information, no photos, and use a pseudonym.

There are the same number of profiles available for viewing on the private profile web page as on the public profile web page.
Private Membership

There is a $75.00 annual membership fee
Please note: Any purchase made (private membership fee) is final and non-refundable.
There are the same number of profiles available for viewing on the private profile web page as on the public profile web page.

You will have access to further, more detailed information on the same publicly accessible profiles of children and youth

You can submit an expression of interest for moving forward with a possible match

You will receive updates from CWCY (i.e. when new profiles are added).

You can upload your family profile, which can be viewed by social/adoption workers who have registered with CWCY.
For professionals:

Social workers and adoption practitioners are encouraged to sign up first as a member of CWCY and once approved, complete the social worker/adoption practitioner information form.

Your professional information will be reviewed, your CWCY website permissions will be updated and you will be able to refer children and youth for CWCY, as well as gain access to the prospective adoptive parent(s) information page.
