In order to get access to the Child & Youth Private Profiles as a Private Member, there are three steps:
Sign up as a member of the Canada's Waiting Children and Youth website (see button below)
Your information will be reviewed, and once you are granted access you will be directed to the payment page (via the email that you will be provided)
Log in using your username and the password that you created in order to complete the payment, at which point you will be granted private membership and have access to the Private Profiles of Canada's Waiting Children and Youth.
Any purchase made (private membership fee) is final and non-refundable. To become a member of the CWCY program, you must be a Canadian Citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident and be 18 yrs and older. The children and youth currently waiting for families on our CWCY website are older children and youth (between 10 - 18+ years of age) and children living with visible or invisible (dis)ABILITIES. There are the same number of profiles available for viewing on the private profile web page as on the public profile web page.
Please note: Social Workers / Adoption Practitioners are asked to first sign up as a CWCY member and once approved by CWCY, complete the Social Worker / Adoption Practitioner registration form. (There is no fee associated with this professional level)
When you have been granted Private Membership you will have access to further information on the currently listed child and youth public profiles, and your family profile can be viewed by social/adoption workers who have registered with CWCY.
As a Private Member, you will be notified by email when a new child or youth profile is added to the site.
You can submit a profile of your family (there is an example available) and complete the Potential Adoptive Parent(s) Form.
Once you hold a private membership, please contact to be directed to this feature.
This can be viewed by social/adoption workers and recruiters.
There is a $75.00 annual membership fee, renewable on the date of your registration. This registration fee covers our administrative costs related to the CWCY website and staffing.
Any purchase made (private membership fee) is final and non-refundable.
If you are interested in finding out more information about a child/youth and moving forward with a possible match, you will be required to submit your PRIDE training certificate (or provincial/territorial equivalent), SAFE Home Study and a vulnerable sector check.
